Your First Chat

Ready to uncover insights? This guide will take you from a simple file upload to complex reasoning in three steps.

1. Start a Conversation

The fastest way to analyze your data is to start a conversation. Simply upload your files, choose a Project if needed, and ask questions. Every conversation belongs to a Project. By default, new conversations are created in your Default Project, but you can select a different Project before sending your message.

1. Upload Your Data Drag & drop your spreadsheet (CSV/Excel) directly into the chat window.

2. Ask Questions Get instant insights from your data using natural language.

   Examples:

   • "Show me total sales by month."
   • "What is the average order value?"
   • "Why did revenue decline in Q2?"

3. Activate a Skill (Optional) Click the Skills icon in the toolbar, or type / in the input box to open the skill list. Select a Skill to instantly give the AI a specialized capability for your task.

   Examples:

   • /html-generate – Generate a structured HTML report.
   • /pdf-generate – Export your results as a professionally formatted PDF.

2. Unlock Deep Analysis

Once you are inside your new Project:

1. Toggle the Switch: Locate and enable the "Deep Analysis" toggle in the input bar.
2. Ask Advanced Questions: Now that ChartGen AI has structured your data semantically, you can ask complex analytical questions:
   • "Analyze the root cause of the sales drop in Q3."
   • "Identify anomalies in user traffic and suggest improvements."
   • "Forecast revenue for the next quarter based on current trends."
