Credit Allocation Rules
The following rules govern how credits are issued, refreshed, and consumed:
Daily Refresh for Depleted Paid Credits: When your purchased credits run out, ChartGen AI refreshes 50 credits at the moment of depletion or upon your next login. These refresh credits are valid for 24 hours, do not accumulate, and can be refreshed up to 5 times per subscription cycle.
Free Plan Credits: Credits issued under the Free plan are valid only within the current cycle. They are cleared at the start of each new cycle and reissued fresh.
Credit Consumption Order: ChartGen AI consumes credits in the following order:
- Day-pass credits
- Monthly subscription credits and credits earned from inviting friends
- Daily refresh credits

Q: What are the credit limits for a paid account?

Q: How is the fee for a plan upgrade calculated?
A: Upgrading takes effect immediately. We calculate new credits based on the price difference between plans using the new plan's conversion rate. Your billing cycle remains unchanged.
Q: Why haven't my credits been added to my account after payment?
A: Credits typically reflect within 5 minutes of payment. Delayed appearance may indicate payment processing or system issues. Contact customer service if unresolved.
Q: Can unused credits for a paid membership be carried over to the next month?
A: It depends on the credit type. Purchased credits (from subscription or top-up) expire 3 months after deposit and remain usable during this period. Free-allocated credits are reset at the start of each cycle and do not carry over.
Q: When are the credits for a paid membership reset? Is it at the beginning of the month?
A: Credits renew at your personal billing cycle start. Example: A subscription on August 19th replenishes monthly on the 19th at 00:00 UTC.
Q: Can I get an invoice?
A: Access and download invoices via Management > Billing > Invoices.
Q: How do I cancel my subscription plan?
A: Disable auto-renewal to prevent future charges. The current month's plan remains active until the billing cycle ends.
Q: Is there a free trial period?
A: The permanent Free plan provides 100 credits monthly. In addition, the Growth plan offers a 7-day free trial.
Q: Will the subscription automatically renew?
A: Enabled auto-renewal ensures uninterrupted service by renewing at cycle end. Success triggers a confirmation email; toggle off anytime.
Q: Will I receive a notification before renewal?
A: Notifications are sent only post-payment (success or failure).
Q: How do I pay for the subscription?
A: We process payments via Stripe, supporting major credit/debit cards.
Q: How do I know if I’m eligible for an Education Plan? A: Eligibility is verified via your institutional email. Supported domains include ".edu", ".ac.uk", ".edu.au", ".ac.jp", ".edu.cn", ".ac.in", and ".edu.sg". You can subscribe to the 10% off Education Plan using these email domains.
